The weather


La Quitapenas The house comprises a groundfloor, a first level, a veranda, a patio with pergola and the garden (see floor plan).
There are three living rooms downstairs (living room with fire place, reading room with stove, dining room), a kitchen, a shed and WC.
In the shed there is a washing machine and a dryer. The garden furnitures and BBQ can be used by the guests.
There are internet access, cable TV, video and DVD player and music installations. The kitchen is fully equipped, except for a dishwasher. The heating of the house is electrical (convection and accumulation) and with the wood burning stove and fireplace

La Quitapenas

All bedrooms are equipped with a double bed (size: 1m60 x2m) and a washbasin.
We provide with an extra one person bed in the hallway separated with a curtain.

Attention! The first floor (except for the bathroom) has a low ceiling and two rooms have an inclined floor. You can compare it with the cabin of a boat. Tall people must take care.
The first floor is also therefore not suitable for disabled people. However it is possible to install a one persons
bed in the reading room downstairs.

La Quitapenas There are two lawns at the disposal of the guests, with garden furniture and BBQ

There cherries, wild strawberries, grapes, figs in season.
The lavendula is beautiful during the summer.
In the winter nature is superb after a snowfall.

There is enough space on the street to park several cars. Bycicles can be kept safely inside.


The house is located on a steep hill, 5 min by car from the centre of Ronse.
There is a bus (belbus) at 5 min walking distance. The train station is on the route of the bus.
You can also take a taxi with taxi2station.

All big shops and a shopping centre (Carrefour, Delhaize, Aldi, Lidl, Colruyt enz.) are within 5 minutes drive. There is a butcher within 10 min walk.


Ronse has about 24 000 inhabitants and is located in the Flemish Ardennes at the linguistic border with Wallonnie. The town is surrounded by green hills: Mont de l'Enclus, Hotond, Muziekbos, forest of la Houppe et the forests of "Pays des Collines". Thanks to this particular geography, the region attracts lots of walking, biking and mountainbiking adepts.
